THE LONG STORY

Design has always been a part of who I am but it just took me a while to realise it!

My Dad was a printer so it’s always been around me, whether it was him bringing jobs home or me going to his work to collate invoice books in the school holidays. My first real job was for a small printing company where I was doing ‘desktop publishing’, not realising that was really graphic design. A failed attempt at being a computer programmer lead me to a career counsellor who gave me two options: Event Management or Plumbing! Not wanting to snake drains for a living, I enrolled in a Bachelor of Business specialising in Event Management.

I spent the next 6 years studying and working in corporate events, where I learnt that getting bums on seats was a huge part of the success or failure of an event and having the right marketing plan and collateral was vital.

I took a career break to have my kids but was messing around with graphic design as a hobby; making flyers and invitations for friends and family, until I realised the answer had been there all along!

So I went back to school, got another fancy piece of paper and here we are, combining my two careers, to help your next event be an amazing success!
